My wedding season kicked off with something very close to home, a beautiful English country garden vibe celebrations. A marquee wedding in the heart of London. Battersea Park.
Cesca & Oscar decided to get married back in their home city of London having moved to sunny Dubai a few years ago. Having had to postpone their wedding a few times due to you-know-what, it was finally the right time for all their loved ones together in celebration.
With the boys spending the morning in the pub the girls were left to relax in a Knightsbridge hotel, quaffing champagne and getting ready in their own time.
A traditional church ceremony was held at St Mar’s Battersea, right on the river Thames. Such a gorgeous location. After more champagne and confetti the couple jumped in a vintage MG and roared off to Battersea park with myself and the photographer in not pursuit!
Is this really in London?
Battersea Park was perfectly placed to host a marquee wedding, with the lush surroundings providing plenty of privacy for the guests.
With horse-racing fans in attendance, the couple arranged for the Grand National to be shown on some big screens. No one took it all way too seriously at all. Promise.
Once the sun dipped and we’d gotten some incredible golden hour shots the party really kicked off. Confetti canons turning the air thick with colour.
This marquee wedding in the heart of London was the perfect start to my season. Great to be closer to home sometimes, especially when it’s with wonderful couples like Cesca & Oscar.
